Membership Criteria for the Chief Executives Organization

A graduate of Baruch College of the City University of New York, William Harnisch serves Peconic Partners as the firm’s chief investment strategist. In recognition of his leadership skills, William Harnisch has attained membership to the Chief Executives Organization (CEO), an independent collective of a maximum of 2,000 exceptional business leaders from around the world.

To be considered for CEO membership, a professional must receive a nomination from an existing member. Following nomination, the prospective member must meet the following criteria to receive membership:

1. Experience. In addition to having been a member of YPO, a leadership organization, for at least three years, CEO membership candidates must be at least 48 years of age.

2. Outstanding leadership. Membership candidates must display outstanding leadership, which includes, but is not limited to, holding a YPO senior chapter or international board leadership position, heading a leading educational or philanthropic institution, serving as a managing director or chief executive officer with a leading company, or holding a leadership rank in a governmental entity.

3. Qualitative assessment. CEO assesses the candidate on a number of personality factors, including friendliness and willingness to involve themselves in CEO activities.
